Cup Night a punter’s paradise!

Fields are out for greyhound racing’s night of nights, and what of night of greyhound racing it promises to be.

Befitting a program of this quality, TAB has projected a quaddie pool of $1m – the largest pool ever for a greyhound meeting. As well as the $600,000 group 1 TAB Melbourne Cup and $145,000 group 1 Bold Trease, the $36,000 group 3 Sir John Dillon and $36,000 listed Cup Night Sprint round out a stellar quartet of races that are set to excite greyhound punters and fans alike.

The quaddie kicks off with race 5 at 8.08pm with the Sir John Dillon Memorial, and features some of the country’s most exciting middle distance chasers including Shadale, Extreme Magic, Where Art Thou and Zipping Angus.

Fanta Bale headlines the second leg as she aims to become the third greyhound in history to surpass $1m in prize money when she jumps in the Bold Trease.

Race 7, the Cup Night Sprint, features a cavalcade of stars including last year’s TAB Melbourne Cup winner Ando’s Mac and runner up Jesaulenko, group 1 winner and Sandown specialist Black Mumbo, and rising star Big Flood.

The final leg is the most anticipated event of the night, the TAB Melbourne Cup. It’s one of the most even editions of the world’s richest greyhound race seen in its 62 year history, with eight of the most exciting sprinters in the world looking to create history by pocketing the $420,000 winners cheque.

As an added bonus for punters, place a fixed odds bet on the TAB Melbourne Cup via your TAB account, and if your runner finishes second or third, TAB will refund your stake with a Bonus Bet up to $50!

There’s a million reasons to get on course this Friday night, and not just for the action on track. One lucky patron will have the opportunity spin the famous Sandown Super Wheel for an opportunity to win $1m as well as a stack of other fantastic prizes and giveaways.

It’s greyhound racing’s night of night, this Friday night at Sandown Park. Entry is free, gates open at 6pm
