The RSN Sandown Cup is the world’s richest race for stayers.
It’s the culmination of a massive three weeks of racing at Sandown Park, featuring 7 black type races and over $900,000 in prize money, starring the fastest sprinters and strongest stayers in the country!
The carnival kicked off on Sunday May 5 with the group 3 Bill Collins Speed Star, supported by the group 3 Lizrene and group 3 Racecallers which are be run as Speed Star events. Click here for a full wrap
The Thursday following featured the heats of the $250,000 RSN Sandown Cup, $145,000 group 1 Sapphire Crown (515m) for female greyhounds, and the $145,000 group 1 Harrison-Dawson (515m) for the boys.
The final night of the series, Friday May 24, saw one of the biggest upsets in Sandown Cup history with Rajasthan saluting at big odds. Click here for a wrap and see the emotion of the triumph below.
