Racing on Thursday April 1 was highlighted by the Launching Pad final but it also saw plenty of donations to the Good Friday Appeal.
For every greyhound that won from box 1 on the night the club committed $500 to the Appeal. There were five greyhounds that saluted from the inside alley which resulted in $2500.
“There was a flurry of winners from the red during the quaddie legs. The amount kept snowballing and it was great to see,” said Adrian Scott, CEO of Sandown Park.
A further $1024 was donated on-course by patrons via various activities.
