Brett Skurrie prepared Sandown Park for the final time last Thursday night.
Skurrie is moving to Queensland for family reasons, bringing an end to his five years as track curator.
“This company – I wouldn’t call it a company – this family, has been awesome to me and my family,” he said ahead of his final meeting in charge.
“I’m going to miss the staff, the trainers, but especially the dogs.”
Brett’s replacement will be announced shortly but in the interim the track will continue to be prepared by the club’s experience track and grounds staff.
