Saturday trial file: Cup contenders


Many big name chasers were put through their paces this morning in preparation for the TAB Melbourne Cup.

Some were Shootout hopefuls but most angling towards Thursday’s fourth and final Prelude Series. The night is the final chance for greyhounds to qualify for heats of the world’s greatest race on Friday November 16, with the final to be run the following Friday November 23.

Conditions this morning were good and the track was in great order.
