Local couple Lee and Andrew Miles were big winners amongst a jovial crowd on Australia Day evening at Sandown Park.
They made the short 10 minute trip from Clarinda to Sandown Park to enjoy a night out. By purchasing a meal they went into the draw to spin the wheel with Apple Airpods Max up for grabs – and claimed it.
When asked which song would be first sent through the headphones she responded with Dragon, as a fan of the band but for more than just their music.
“They are my favourite band. They were also the favourite band of my late brother, we both loved them,” said Miles.
The pair are semi-regulars at Sandown Park and last attended the Australia Day event when Rose Tattoo performed in 2017.
“We often come and always have a great time. We’ve been to a few events but this one specifically six years ago and it was terrific. We’ll definitely be back soon!”
