Trial days to change

Sandown Park’s traditional trial days will change from Wednesday and Saturday to Tuesday and Friday starting Tuesday January 10.

The change allows the club to increase its capacity of trials in response to the upcoming closure of Sale.

“Trials are clearly going to be in high demand. It’s been a contentious topic for a while and with Sale closed for a lengthy period it will only compound the situation this side of town,” said Adrian Scott, Sandown Park CEO.

The club understands that the change won’t suit every trainer but is confident it assists a broader group.

“GCV (Greyhound Clubs Victoria) has been great in pursuing alternate options to increase the amount of trials at tracks in the region. We’ll monitor on-going demand as well as feedback from trainers and review it accordingly.”

Tuesday – 8am to 2.30pm
125 trials (Arm and Pen)
Opens on FastTrack 9am Monday

Friday – 8am to 2.30pm
125 trials (Arm only)
Opens on FastTrack 9am Thursday

Sunday – After the last race
50 (Pen only)
Opens on FastTrack 9am Sunday

Trainers are advised that this Saturday’s trial session has been moved to Friday due to Saturday being Christmas Eve
