Young fan given first-time ownership

Young fan of the sport Heath Sutton was given part-ownership of his favourite greyhound Tyler Durden during the week.

Tyler Durden’s connections were made aware of Heath’s passion for ‘Tigga’ and decided to give him 10% ownership.

“I initially started following him because he’s a good looking dog. Since I’ve gotten behind him he’s gone from strength to strength and has been a part of some great races,” said Sutton.

Heath’s interest in the sport began when his dad got in discussion about greyhounds with a colleague – George Farrugia’s popular uncle, Mars.

Not long after the Sutton family adopted Zipping Mack who had a great racing career in the care of Matt Lanigan. From that point their interest started to snowball.

Heath, 15, goes by @Heaths_Hounds1 on Twitter where his new-found passion for the sport shines through along with his support for Tyler Durden.

Not only is he a fan but also takes strong interest in what happens behind the scenes. He spent RSN Sandown Cup heats week doing work experience at Sandown Park alongside myself.

He was on-track for the heats to witness Tyler Durden advance to the world’s premier distance race. On the back of it, getting a photo with ‘Tigga’ and co-trainer Angela Langton.

“The photo will be put up on the wall at home, I’m very thankful of Angela organising that for me. Hopefully it won’t be the last time I get a photo out there after a big race!”
