Bring it on – Victorian Sprint final

This evening we sit back and enjoy one of the sport’s best nights of the year with state sprint finals to be held across Australasia and our edition here in Victoria is an absolute cracker.

The country’s best sprinter Simon Told Helen remains the one to beat with TAB despite beaten in his heat last Thursday. There’s been discussion throughout the week about if box 8 will suit the champ, some saying absolutely while others think the opposite!

His main danger looks to be Shima Shine who just weeks ago set the second fastest time ever seen at Sandown Park. He’s the next favoured in the market followed by Christo Bale and Weblec Ace with the rest at double figures.

The Victorian Sprint final kicks off the bumper night of showcase coverage on Sky Racing 2 (now open to all Foxtel subscribers) from 6pm. Dan Huddy will be joined by experts at each track to cover the finals.

The support act at Sandown Park is the Free-For-All (Race 6). It sees some of the best sprinters around in Black Opium, Who Told Stevie and Tiggerlong Tonk.

Don’t forget the earlier time slot!
Due to Melbourne curfews a number of meetings within the metro area have changed time slots. The first race is at 2.57pm, the Victorian Sprint final at 6.09pm

The quaddie
For TAB Victorian players there is a $100k projected pool which includes a $20k jackpot
