The 2019 Launching Pad is ready for take-off with entry forms for the sweep stakes series set to go on sale at midday on Monday 7 January 2019.
There will be 64 entry forms available and a massive $432,000 in prize money up for grabs, with the winner of the group 2 final to pocket $150,000 making the series one of the most lucrative in the country.
A consolation series will again be conducted, meaning all runners in the three-week series will get two opportunities to race for a share of the prize money, and more than half of all runners are guaranteed to win prize money. And for the first time in 2019 a $22,000 consolation for for greyhounds that finish third and fourth in the semi finals will be run, providing even more opportunities to earn prize money.
The series is open to greyhound with 1-6 wins and no more than 30 starts. Entry Forms cost $2000 and are fully transferable up until the Friday prior to the close on nominations.
The heats for the 2019 Launching Pad will be run on Thursday 4 April 2019 with the final to be run on Thursday 18 April 2019.
