Why Not Ginger won a heat of today’s GRV Vic Bred Maiden heats at a phenomenal fixed odds price of $126.
The win stunned punters as well as her trainer Greg Carter.
“She surprised me, I didn’t have anything on unfortunately,” laughed Carter.
Blackjack Neo was the fastest winner of the seven heats, he ran home in an impressive 10.54 to stop the clock at 29.74 for trainer Rob Neocleous.
Taking Aim was also impressive when he took out heat 5. The Glenn Rounds trained youngster virtually led all of the way to win in 29.77.
Semi-finals of the series will be run next Sunday, with the $12,000 to-the-winner final to be run the following Thursday.
