Quaddie preview: Feb 11


Ahead of tonight’s racing Sandown Park’s own Jason Adams takes a look at the quaddie.

Race 5: With the scratching of talented youngster Dyna Maddie it sets up a wide open first leg of the quaddie. The classy and experienced Weblec Belle is the likely favourite though is yet to prove herself over the middle distance, however is well drawn out in box six as she likes room to muster pace early. Sausage Sizzle will be having his first start over 595m after impressive back-to-back wins at The Meadows. Gully Raider is in consistent form however does like to get off the track a touch, which could give Become The Fuse clear running early.

Race 6: Amaro Bale is in red hot form after two impressive wins at The Meadows and looks the class runner of the field. Ima Misha Doll returns to the sprint distance after a short stint over 595m, she looks to be more suited to this trip and has a good record from box one.

Race 7: Zipping Simmo rises in distance to 595m which will be no issue for him, whether he brings his best or not is the big question. Movie Fever’s form has been patchy over his short career though if he is able to settle in the top half of the field he will certainly be a winning chance. Veteran Waymore’s Blues lines up for his 100th career start and has a good record over the trip having placed in half of his 18 starts.

Race 8: Elfen Bale holds the key to the race, if she begins how we expect her to begin and holds her line on the rail it’s going to make things tough for greyhounds on her outside in Eren Bale, Xtreme Knocka and Dawkins Bale, who have all been in red hot form of late. Moreira returns to 515m after four straight wins over the middle distance, he could find it hard to cross to the rail as there is plenty of early speed throughout the field.
