2013 Macro Meats Shootout finalists


The four fastest greyhounds in Australia are set to battle it out for the $50,000 winner-takes-all Macro Meats Shootout.

After discussions between the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club and Greyhound Racing Victoria, the following greyhounds were selected for the final of the four-dog spectacular.

Banjo Boy (Ken Virtue)

Dyna Nalin (Paul Stuart)

Punch One Out (Grant Fennelly)

Xylia Allen (Jenny Hunt)

Reserves

Crump (Troy Iwanyk)

Phenomenal (Jason Thompson)

‘’The Club is delighted with the quality of the nominations received for this year’s Shootout,” said Mick Floyd, Racing and Media Manager of the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club.

“The Shootout is one of the highlights of the national racing calendar and this year’s event promises to be one of the most exciting editions of the race.”

The box draw for the Macro Meats Shootout will be conducted on course this Thursday night 31 October, with the final to be held the following Thursday 7 November.

The Macro Meats Shootout highlights a quality night of racing, with the Group 3 Sir John Dillon Memorial (595m), the $20,000 to-the-winner Ready 2 Race final, the VBIS Maiden Final, as well as the fourth and final TAB Melbourne Cup Prelude Series.

Gates open at 6pm and as always, entry is free!
