Over 300 children descended on Sandown Park last Thursday night for the club’s annual Easter Kids Night.
Almost 80 kids were given the opportunity to ‘Own A Greyhound’ for the night, while many more headed to the infield to try and ‘Beat The Bunny.’ Winners received special prizes from Hawks star Jarryd Roughead, who also happily signed autographs and posed for photos
After race 7, the kids and parents headed to the infield for a massive Easter Egg hunt. Following the hunt, everyone had the unique opportunity to watch the night’s feature race, the Facebook.com/sandowndogs Free For All, from the middle of the track, a rare perspective of the fastest sport on four legs.
The night was again an overwhelming success, and the Club extends its thanks to all of the trainers and handlers for their cooperation in making the night a memorable one for all involved.
