Family Night this Thursday night

The Sandown Greyhound Racing Club will hold it’s first ever ‘Family Night’ this Thursday, 3 November.

An outstanding card of racing features the four fastest greyhounds in the country in the $40,000 winner-takes-all Macro Meats Shootout, as well as seven Solo Melbourne Cup Preludes.
Off the track, there is an animal farm and face painting, the Board Room will be open with free games, and kids can enter a competition to become a greyhound ‘Owner of the Day.’
In a first in greyhound racing, the Club is giving kids aged between 6 and 13 the opportunity to join the greyhounds and their handlers on the track. There are great prizes up for grabs if ‘their’ greyhound wins its race, as well as giveaways for everyone who enters.
Richmond big man Tyrone Vickery will also be trackside ensuring a memorable night of greyhound racing for the entire family.
Gates open at 6.00pm with the first of 11 races to be run at 7.05pm.
