The Sandown Greyhound Racing Club, in conjunction with Greyhound Racing Victoria, are proud to announce the launch of a new radio program, “The Lure” to be broadcast on SEN 1116am on Sunday nights from 8pm this Sunday 2 October.
The initial season of the show will run for 8 weeks through to 20 November (just after the Solo Melbourne Cup at Sandown Park), and will feature hosts Julian Bayard and Cam Luke together with personality Dr Turf, leading punter Troy Little, and trainer Jamie Ennis.
Unlike previous and existing industry programs, the show will highlight more of the fun and entertaining side of our industry and unearth some of the characters of our great sport.
“Race A Dog With Jamie” is a segment encouraging new interest in the industry. Each Sunday, Jamie will select a greyhound from his kennel that will run at Sandown Park the following Thursday, and five lucky listeners will join Jamie and enjoy ‘owner of the day’ privileges – including the 50% share of any prize that the selected greyhound wins.
There’ll be lots of interviews, competitions and giveaways, and the show will talk with some of the celebrities involved in our sport. There will also be plenty of opportunities for you to have your say via talkback.
