We’ll be celebrating Women in Racing at Sandown Park! The night features guest speaker Christine Nixon and running of the Judy Hayley Memorial and GOTBA Karen Leek Memorial. The inaugural Marg Thomas Trophy will be awarded to the most outstanding female contribution to the sport in 2022.
Tickets are $55 which includes 2-course meal, beer, wine and soft drink.
Guest Speaker – Christine Nixon
Christine Nixon shares with her audiences a lifetime of extreme achievement, public profile and the associated pressures of leadership. As the 19th Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, she has direct experience running a highly complex organisation through change, disruption and, at times, extreme circumstances.
She was the first woman to become a police commissioner in Australia, leading 14,000 staff and oversaw an annual budget of $1.7 billion.
Truly a woman in leadership, Christine Nixon rose to the top in the male-dominated field of policing and can enthral an audience with her visible compassion, warmth, intelligence and determination.
