During May and June, the Australian Greyhound Racing Association (AGRA) is
running a coordinated national campaign to collect, preserve and display significant greyhound
racing memorabilia.
The Sandown Greyhound Racing Club, under the auspices of AGRA, is looking for
donations of items that:
v Are of
substantial historical significance, particularly in relation to current day Group races –
especially Group 1 racing
v Relate to the
inaugural running of events or significant anniversaries of such events (ie 25, 50 years)
v Are of
significance relating to AGRA Hall of Fame inductees
v Are associated
with
major historical achievements
v Are unusual or
quirky events, such as a triple dead heat or the opening of a track
Items of interest may include, but are not limited to the following:
v Trophies and
rugs
v Video and
audio footage
v Photos and
media articles
v Genuinely unique
artefacts
Donated and loaned items will be stored and displayed at the AGRA Club in your
state.
