Collinda Patty smashes 595m record

Collinda Patty eclipsed Dyna Double One’s long standing 595m track record with a flawless display. She made a moderate start to her career before a dominant win in the Pink Diamond series at Bendigo then followed up with a big effort behind Koblenz. Her record breaking run wqas her first crack at 595m and in her following start won the 600m Speed Star event at The Meadows.

“She got box 1 – her first ever box 1 – so we were already excited. All we needed was for her to get the start right.”

More than a winning weekend for Burnett

Dave Burnett has won some of the biggest races on the Australian greyhound calendar but the win of Wedding Or Baby was one of great personal significance. Wedding Or Baby was named after Burnett’s son Jack and wife Lucy’s unique situation last year with uncertainty surrounding their wedding. They welcomed a new born the morning following the win.

“They’re in hospital now ready for the arrival of their first daughter. I’m pumped. She’ll be my second grandchild.”
