Have your say on Moment Of The Month

Christo Bale’s back-to-back McKenna Memorials was the chosen Moment of the Month with 51% of votes! Robert Paul is the winner of the $250 prize – he was determined the winner via a random draw that included everyone who submitted a vote.

Our new Moment of the Month series reflects and highlights some of more significant moments and achievements at Sandown Park – for July it’s thanks to Houdini Boy at Newhaven Stud.

We’ve selected three moments and you have a chance to win $250 by voting below on what you think was the Moment of the Month!

Christo goes back-to-back in McKenna

Christo enhanced his profile as one of the most consistent and versatile stars in the sport with his second McKenna Memorial win. He’s the only greyhound to have won back-to-back McKennas in its 50-year history. Not long after he was retired and will live out the rest of his days with the Delbridge family.

“We’re very proud. He’s always there abouts and for him to win the same feature race twice is a big thrill and honour.”

“I can remember coming here and watching Bold Trease race. I was about seven or eight and thought ‘gee, this is something.’
