Last night we got a serious taste of what to expect in next Friday’s TAB Melbourne Cup heats.
It was the final Prelude series and last chance to qualify for the heats – gee did we see some impressive performances.
We caught up with the handler of each winner to get their immediate reaction.

The night’s feature was the four-dog Shootout won in race record time by Tiggerlong Tonk in 29.03. Here’s what trainer Correy Grenfell had to say post-win – click here for a wrap.
Shootout night was the third of five nights of racing across The Meadows and Sandown Park which form Victorian greyhound racing’s inaugural Metropolitan Festival of Racing, where almost $2 million in prize money is being distributed, culminating in the $630,000 TAB Melbourne Cup on Friday 27 November.
