Curious win for the Burleigh boys

The Burleigh family and friends almost lifted the roof at Sandown Park on Sunday as their own Curiouser saluted at odds of $22.

The General of the family Gary Burleigh has been involved in the sport for decades, but for the first time he invited sons Matt and Joel into the thrill of ownership.

“For her to win here at Sandown is super exciting for us, especially for the boys who are first time owners,” explained Gary.

“It’s what you get with greyhound racing, the fun and the joy it’s awesome.”

Yesterday’s win by Curiouser was a GRV Vic Bred Grade 5 heat and she now rolls on to Thursday night where she’s drawn box 8 in the $9060 to-the-winner final.

We caught up with the family following the win…
