Mrs. Sharp proves size isn’t everything!

Mrs. Sharp is out to prove once again that size isn’t everything when she lines up in the maiden final tonight.

Mrs. Sharp, who was reared alongside a pony, won her debut outing on Sunday after weighing in at a tiny 22.5kg making her one of the smallest greyhounds to ever win at Sandown Park.

“She’s a tryer. She loves trialing and loved her first outing on Sunday,” said trainer Jason Sharp.

“When she arrived at our place and we joked she might be cross whippet! We’ve had a few her size but haven’t had the ability like her.

“She’s a lovely dog at home, no trouble and loves working in the runs.”

From what we can recall a stayer named Springvale Jinx won in 2004 at 22.2kg. Know one who has raced lighter? Let us know! Click here to message us on Facebook.

Tonight’s maiden final is set for (Race 2) 7.34pm with Mrs. Sharp rated a $17 chance by tab.com.au.
