Fancy win for ‘Ten Wise Men’ syndicate

The ‘Ten Wise Men’ syndicate had great reason to celebrate last night as their own Fancy Fabio saluted on his Sandown Park debut.

Part-owner Shane Stuart was on-course to enjoy the win and was visibly pumped to be a part of the success.

“It’s unbelievable. I’ve never had a greyhound even run here (at Sandown) let alone win. It’s nerve racking but also very exciting,” said Stuart.

Fancy Fabio is just the second greyhound he has been involved with, the first was Fancy Mojo who is the mother of Fancy Fabio.

“I knew someone in the syndicate and he asked me if I wanted to be a part of it. We raced Fancy Mojo and it just evolved from there.”

The experience and thrill of owning greyhounds can’t be matched. Stuart explained how he is always kept up to date with any news that may be about.

“The communication between us all is ten out of ten. The syndicate manager does a great job, group text messages which will be going berserk now.”

In his work life Stuart is on the golf course specialising in turf management. He intends to increase his involvement in greyhound racing.

“My cousin and I will keep going. I’ve had horses too, but I love the dogs.”

Fancy Fabio (4) wins with control

Later in the night Poise produced a tough win over 595m which holds her in good stead to be a part of next Thursday’s McKenna Memorial heats. Here’s what Matt Johnson had to say following the tough win.
