The countdown is on to the world’s richest greyhound race, with the $600,000 TAB Melbourne Cup now just 50 days away.
The most sought after trophy in the sport will bring together the fastest chasers from around Australia and New Zealand as they vie for the $420,000 first prize and a place on sport’s most prestigious honour roll.
It is every breeder, owner and trainer’s dream to win the Melbourne Cup. John and Carol Westerlo will be hoping that their three month old son of Dyna Double One, ‘Carter’ (pictured above), can one day emulate the feats of this famous father.
The TAB Melbourne Cup will be run on Friday 24 November with the heats to be run on Friday 17 November.
