Entry forms for Australia’s only sweepstakes race – the Launching Pad – will go on sale on Wednesday 4 January 2017.
Now in its third year as a sweepstakes event, the Launching Pad has quickly become one of the most sought after (and most talked about) events in greyhound racing. The series is open to greyhounds with 1-6 wins and no more than 30 race starts, but to gain a start participants must purchase an entry from.
Any registered participant, syndicate or racing body may purchase an entry form, and there is a total of 80 entry forms available in 2017. Cost per entry form is $2000 each and the Entry Form is fully transferable up until 24 March 2017.
There is $410,000 in prize money up for grabs across the three weeks of the series, with the winner to pocket $150,000. There will again be a consolation event accompanying the main series, meaning over half of all entry form holders will win prize money.
