GRV received 34 nominations for the Victorian heats of the AGRA National Distance Championship – to be held Thursday 4 August at Sandown Park.
The country’s most promising staying prospect Burn One Down headlines the list of entrants. He boasts the fastest personal best of the nominees with a scintillating 41.40.
Multiple group 1 winner No Donuts takes aim for Anthony Azzopardi, along with RSN927 Sandown Cup winner Bells Are Ringin’ for Gerry O’Keefe.
Lady Toy will be chasing a spot in her second consecutive National final and comes off a third in the recent McKenna Memorial.
Wind Whistler and Lioness Lulu are other notable runners.
The top two runners of each heat will advance to the Victorian final the following week, with the winner to advance to the AGRA National Distance final – to be held at Angle Park on Saturday 27 August.
