Sandown Park Preview: Bells are Ringing

After a memorable night of racing at Sandown Park on Friday, the club is backing up with a strong 12 race card from 7.08pm.

The stayers clash in the first of the main races, which comes up as the third race on the program. The Sale to City series has a field of seven to compete in the final and after a solid placing in the heat (Replay), Ring The Bell looks the one to beat. Rising to the 715m should suit this budding stayer and I’m expecting a big effort from the Neerim Junction trained pup.

Shanlyn Lucy (pictured) drops a mile in grade and appears set to bounce back into the winners’ list for the first time in a while. If she can gain a clear run early and produce a run anywhere near her P.B, she will be winning.

I’m keen on the chances of Tap Out Rose to place in the eighth as she appears set to receive a good run in transit.

In the latter part of the program I’ll be spending up on the likes of Both Sides Now and Penelopes Cruzn, who both meet winnable assignments and should be each way odds.

Hopefully we can finish with our head in front in what looks a solid night of chasing at HQ.
