Sandown Park Preview: Top Trio to Contest Cracking Free For All

Racing heads back to Sandown Park for on Thursday night metro meeting and I’m going in with plenty of confidence after tipping Cut Loose Max at the corresponding meeting last week, as he saluted at $15.30.

The racing gets underway at 7.08pm with the Cranbourne to City sprint final, followed by a restricted win heat as the second on the program. In this event I’m super keen on Brother Leo, who’s been mixing it with stronger company. He should be super competitive from the favourable inside draw. His last start fourth at The Meadows  was good despite being slightly outclassed (Replay) and back to a more suitable race he only requires a clean beginning to challenge.

The free for all looks a super race to watch over the 515m with the likes of Dewana ResultSecret Spell and Lamia Bale (pictured) going head to head in what looks a superb clash.

Dyna Nico jumps from box one in the tenth of the night and with some wide running cover provided by Nunya Tron, I expect Dyna Nico to gain an easy railing lead and therefore prove pretty hard to catch. Her last start in hot company was a solid run to say the least (Replay) and back to grade 5 company should see the Andrea Dailly prepared runner salute.

The last is set for decision at 10.56pm and I’m quietly confident with the chances of Noosa Jet, who ran a terrific race when placed third at The Meadows after trouble throughout his last run (Replay). Drawn ideally close to the fence, the Darren Fisher prepared chaser could lead all of the way at a decent price given he can box with the field and then show his early acceleration to race into the early lead.

That wraps up the preview so good luck and happy punting!

Watch: Noosa Jet (4) ran a terrific third placing at The Meadows last start and appears ready to win tonight at Sandown Park.
