No Diggity? No doubt

There was no doubting No Diggity’s performance last night when she claimed a heat of the Peter Rocket Damsels Dash.No Diggity sml

Given room to move early, No Diggity musted pace to lead clearly around the first bend and held a two length margin from Ima Fairytale heading down the back straight. At that stage it was all over, No Diggity went on to win by 4 ½ lengths in a smart time of 29.49.

“Looking at the field I thought third was probably going to be our best result, though we had half a chance because she’s got good early pace,” said trainer Graeme Jose.

“It was pleasing to see her get room to move early – she got the chance to show what she can really do.”

No Diggity hasn’t always called Jose’s Catani kennel home, having spent some time with highly regarded trainer Kel Greenough.

“Kel trialled her at Bendigo before her first race start, she went 24.01 which is flying for a Maiden, but at that time he was offered some top class dogs and had no room for her.”

“He gave me a call seeing if I wanted to train her (No Diggity) and I said ‘by all means’.”

No Diggity advances to next Thursday’s $17,250 Peter Rocket Damsels Dash final where she will meet some highly talented greyhounds including Mario Briganti’s Angie Rocks and litter sister to Fernando Bale, Elfen Bale.

“Box four is no joy, however she did win from box four last night. If she can get a clear run I’m confident we can finish in the top three.”
